Isn't this what we all feared in Nov. 2004?

Didn't we all wake up the day after the election with the knowledge that 4 more years of Bush couldn't possibly go well?

The ONLY thing that hasn't gone wrong yet is that nobody (inside or outside of the U.S.A.) has been nuked. Yet. But there is still 2 more years to go, and it wouldn't surprise me if somebody, somewhere has it on the agenda.

In 2004, I refused to believe that America, collectively, could be dumb enough to vote him back in (Hell, we weren't that dumb the first time, until Katherine Harris and Jim Baker and the Supreme Court got involved). And I was wrong then. But I knew that things would go horribly wrong in a second Bush term. At least I was right about this.

But I would have much rather gotten it right back in 2004.

2. I agree
it is a perfect storm of failures on Bush's part.
I went into mourning in 2004. But it is going to hell real fast. must be nice to be on vacation now.
If only Blair has been better, Britain possibly could have been a check on the neocons?

3. Exactly.
This is what we knew, what we feared, what we expected would happen when Bush was selected in 2000. When 2004 rolled around, and we woke up on November 3rd to find him still in occupancy of our WH, we projected doom and gloom ahead. Some of us were quite detailed in what we expected.

Now it's here. We were right. That doesn't make it any easier to take. It sucks being right, in fact.
