Cubans Fear U.S. Attack-White House Says Talk Of Invasion Is "Absurd"
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/08/05/world/main1868006.shtml

CBS/AP) Cuba, currently under the control of Defense Minister Raul Castro, mobilized citizen defense militias and asked military reservists to check in daily due to fears that the United States could be planning an attack, even though the White House insists such a threat does not exist.

Cubans interviewed on state-run media Friday said they would fight to the death any invaders from the north, while the Communist Party daily Granma said, "We Cubans are prepared for the defense" of the island.

Yet White House press secretary Tony Snow rejected as "absurd" any suggestion that the United States would militarily attack the island.

3. Hmmn, anytime they use the word "absurd," it's exactly what's going on.
But I think Cuba is safe for the moment.

8. I don't blame them
The knucklehead in chief is surely looking to expand his empire.
Also, Tony Snowjob said it was absurd= good possibility.
