If Enron and other big corporations lied about their earnings... |
|
...being bigger than what they actually were by manipulating the books. Is it possible that our massive trillion dollar deficit and spending could be even worse than the administration already admits? The government doesn't really have to hold itself accountable to it's people or obey the laws so I think the answer is yes. The current Washington, D.C. accountants and bookeepers would probably make the Enron boys look like saints.

2. They are definitely cooking the books, and one of the biggest |
|
fires is the fact that the war is not included in the budget.
It's costing us a billion dollars a week, and it is outside the budget.
Now how the hell do you do that?

The deficiet is about 3x worse than stated because of wierd bookkeeping. The national debt is bigger too, but depends on if you add social security or not. And that's just the money they keep track of. They loose a lot too.

12. Could it be? It is common knowledge that they are not counting |
|
the expenditures on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq in the annual budget (and thus "deficit" numbers). Ut is my understanding that bushco has been using "emergency funding" vehicles that are completely outside of the regular budget process, and somehow never get worked back in to the budget and thus deficit calculations.
