Had an honors polisci professor in undergrad who was a late-stage alcoholic. (He died the following summer.) The class was in this tiny room on the third floor of a 150-year-old building. We used to play musical chairs waiting for him to arrive, so that you wouldn't be the one with the empty seat next to you, the man reeked so badly. He was like a human air freshener in the bourbon scent.
