1. It's so nice to meet new people... |
|
and learn their names, and find out who they work for.

2. It is interesting to see the racist turn this primary challenge has |
|
taken.
Goldstein accuses Lamont of supporting "diviseness" because Lamont is endorsed by Sharpton. First of all, what the fcuk divisiveness has Sharpton ever promoted? IMO, Goldstien's lies are created and perpetrated by the divisive racist crew of Democrats who see the African American voting bloc as a "burden" rather than as a benefit to the party.
By the same token, the stupid and ignorant post of a racist photoshopped graphic by some idiot-brained woman named Jane Hamsher who works for the Lamont camp has put Lamont in the unenviable position of having to "acknowledge" black supporters, something that is not going down easily with the current racial climate of hatred toward blacks in America, formulated by the GOP, spearheaded by drug fiends like Rush Limbaugh with their ignorant followers. So Lamont is forced to claim "no knowledge" of the graphic which depicts Clinton standing with his arm around a black-faced minstrel, Lieberman. Oh, come on...HE KNEW AND WE ALL KNOW THAT HE KNEW. The graphic was a put-down of Lieberman. It just wasn't funny one damned bit. That's all.
Hamsher's graphic certainly turned off a lot of people who were fully in Lamont's corner, but not enough to make any of them change their minds and vote for Lieberman. It just makes us realize that the racism DOES flow through more than just a few of our leaders.
Lieberman, who, because he marched a time or two in the 60s Civil Rights Movement is among those who just took the black vote for granted. I bet he would give his eye teeth to have a little more of that black vote right now. Secretly, of course. Wouldn't want those members of the Democratic Party who ARE racists to get upset.
"Hey, Joe! Why don't you go out and drum up some votes from that mythical pool of moderate swing voters that you and the DLC would rather have than the black vote?"
