Which TV show would you pick for bush to get his comeuppance? |
|
Earlier today I watched an episode of the Pretender on DVD. I always liked seeing the bad guy get what's coming to him. Jarod, the good guy, always used a form of what I call poetic justice which got them to admit their crimes on camera.
I can almost hear bush saying...okay, okay...I lied to congress...I lied to the American people...and for my benefit, he'd pee his pants or something.
I don't want this to be a thread to advocate violence against the pres...that's illegal and I don't want fellow DUer's to get in trouble. I would hate to see this get locked because I think this could be fun.
If you think this is dumb...blame it on the insomnia :)

1. I think Jon Stewart could really |
|
grill him in an intelligent and at the same time hillarious manner on the Daily Show.
Now, that would be comeuppance entertainment.

The show with the redneck guy named Dog & his trashy looking wife. I think it would be fun to have Bush brought down by a couple of his peers.

I've never seen the show so I didn't know he likes * enough to hang his picture in his office.
Oh wait a minute, could it be *'s picture is hanging with the wanted posters?

4. Dan Rather coming back for a special. Or Jon Stewart in person. |
|
Maybe both at the same time -- Rather doing the well-researched special with devastating information, and Jon Stewart disguising himself as a harmless comedian to get * relaxed and swapping jokes until >pow< >zap< >zing<.
Worth watching.

how about Fox News? Wouldn't it be a hoot, to have W's biggest supporter, be the one to get stuck, bringing their chosen one down...I think it would be ironic.
But in truth, Jon Stewart/Lewis Black/Colbert team up, on some nbc/abc/cbs/cspan channel laying the smack down would be sweet.

That whole Administration is expert at slicing the crap out of Logic and the English Language.
Cheney could handle the dead birds.
Bush would be in charge of the cooking sherry, I'd wager.

22. A couple of similar shows |
|
like L&O: Criminal Intent where Vincent D'Onofrio can really give him the business, or L&O: SUV, where Richard Belzer's character skewers him with his well known character bias. Or even, we could go with Columbo, where Peter Falk could give him his comeuppance.
How about Dead Zone, where Stillson and Bush can battle it out for who's nuttier and more insane, while Johnny sees doom in both directions?
More appropriate, we could also hope for a scenario on Without a Trace, where, for the first time, they don't solve the case, but in their research find out everything nasty in his history and make it well known before declaring it a cold case, and that the "missing" one is completely and irrecovably missing without a trace.
Or even a new version of Trading Spaces, but on a permanent basis, where the White House and Leavenworth are the spaces, and Bush and family are the sole contestants......

The President of the United States is brought in with bizarre symptoms that seem to indicate either alcoholism, drug abuse, attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, cretinism, spousal abuse, megalomania, or paranoia...House, after examining him, determines that it's all of them, says "fuck the Hippocratic Oath", and lets nature take its course...

34. There's new show in the works |
|
Here's the pitch:
It will air live every day for about two weeks. It will star all your favorite characters, Dickie! Rummy! KKKarl! Teddy! Russ and Old Pat Leahy as "The Chairman". I'm not sure of the title yet but I'm hoping it will be something like "Senate Hearings on the Iraq War" or maybe "Senate Hearings on the Case for War".
Then again, there's always the summer schedule where I dream of that edgy show "Impeachment Proceedings for George W. Bush" - featuring the legendary John Conyers as Mr. Badass! And introducing Jimmy Sensenbrenner as the Janitor.
Coming soon to C-SPAN...Be there!
