Now the real question: Will another MIHOP help or hurt *?? |
|
Even if it's a LIHOP......will the religious right and GOP nutjobs rally again or will we see the mobs with pitchforks and hangman's noose surround the WH? Let me know what you think. I'm kind of torn both ways, so shed some light above my head people!!! Thx.

I think if there is another attack, Bush will declare martial law, blame the attacks on liberals, and herd us into concentration camps.

2. I'd be curious to see the "fight 'em over there" crowds reaction. |

Well, after blaming Democrats for aiding and comforting the enemy. :eyes:
I think it would hurt him but nothing will sway the true believers. God's will and all.

3. Mobs... pitchforks... GUILLOTINES!!! |
|
probably not...
Probably just see a bunch of cars, houses, and buildings with American flags. Maybe a telethon or two. The dictatortot's numbers will probably go up some. Just enough to attack Iran.

4. It would help slightly |
|
Lots of Murkans would rally behind their strong leader and his bullhorn and support "our" troops kicking some more third-world ass
but many Americans are sick of boy george crying wolf
he'll never get another 9-11 bump, but he can consolidate his base and scare up another batch of idiots by MIHOPing again

5. IMHO, I think it will hurt ... |

After the Katrina decable, people no longer have the 'Bush will keep us safe from harm' feelings they did before. Especially after seeing the total lack of assistance to Katrina suvivors - people now know that if they're caught up in some major catastrophe, man-made or otherwise, there will be no help waiting in the wings. Another attack would cause more panic and anger than it would that good old 'rallying around the president' shtick.
In addition, another attack on US soil would blow their never-ending rant - "Our policies are working, because there hasn't been another attack" -- out of the water.
Methinks that if there were another 9/11 type of attack (heaven forefend), Bush saying, "Well, my policies worked for a WHILE" just won't cut it with a lot of citizens.
