Latest Zogby Interactive Survey -- Celebrity!! Celebrity!! Party!! Party!!

I just got the latest Zogby Interactive Survey. It's absolutely amazing.
It asks about which celebrities you'd want to party with. I should point out that I've never heard of any of these people. (Except, the Donald was on the list.)

What's your favorite party drink?
How many times a week do you go out socially?
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!!

Here's my letter to Zogby Interactive:

In your latest Zogby Interactive survey, you want to ask me who I would prefer to party with:

Vince Vaughn
Donald Trump
Sean Combs
Ashton Kutcher
Jay Z
Jack Black

Apparently Zogby thinks that every person on the planet reads "People" magazine and other celebrity news garbage. Except for Donald Trump, I've never heard of any of those people and I certainly wouldn't want to party with him. Likewise, the female celebrities listed in the very next question. Who are these people? Why should I give a damn about what they think or what they are like?

With the world on the brink of war everywhere, and with an illegal cabal in Washington intent on putting this country on the road to fascism, I would think that Zogby could find something substantive to survey about. This society is positively fixated on celebrities. Just maybe that's why this country is nearly on the road to fascism.

In the spirit of Zen, I must unask your latest survey.

1. Yeah,

I tried to just skip those questions when I did the survey a couple of days ago and it wouldn't let me do so..... Oh, well I just picked one and moved on. .. Have no idea who most of them might be.

I have no opinion on this shit. If they want to ask such questions, they're just going to have to go without my contribution. What will that do to the objectivity of the rest of the survey?

This survey guarantees that the only people who respond will be those fixated on celebrities and partying.

I thought some of the other questions later in the survey were valid and interesting. Don't recall which ones, but I remember them being alright.

Just how objective will the responses to those Q's be?

I'll tell you. The results will be skewed by the fact that the predominance of people answering will be those to whom celebrities and parties are important.

4. Zogby is a pollster

I don't recall them saying there were strictly political pollsters or "serious" pollsters. While you might not think that the marketing of material goods isn't important, millions of people make their living working for comapnies that manufacture, market and sell those goods. Obviously, they hire pollsters to determine trends and customer needs. Zogby is one of those polling firms. This kind of stuff pays their bills.

5. I read on, and it had more questions about partying, barhopping,

and overindulging in food and drink. Then it asked what stomach meds I took, and whether I'd ever had to unbutton my pants after a big meal. One of the more useless Zogby surveys I've taken (it's tied with the one that asked whether I'd ever peed in a swimming pool). :wtf:

11. A bad Zogby poll

I, too, sent a comment about the lameness of these questions. Which celebrity I'd like to "hang out" with? For Pete's sake, why? They could have added, at least, "none." Ditto with which city I'd like to go to "party." What the SamHill demographic are they targeting with this poll, anyway?

I've taken plenty of surveys and was even a Gallup pollster in the 1990's. Commercial polling is usually focussed on specific products. This poll doesn't do that. In fact, I could not even complete the poll because I did not have the requisite knowledge to do so. Who in the Sam Hell is Jack Black? And why should I care?

If they are going to be asking about these kind of people, why don't they include a response for "I don't know who these people are?" or "None of the above" or something that would allow people who don't dote on every celebrity whim to respond to the survey. From what I know about statistics and stuff like that, it seems that this survey is going to be horrendously skewed.
