A song for the tea campaign
Okay I am sorry but I can't remember the name of the DUer who started the website about sending tea bags to the RNC in October.

I was telling a friend about this and he sent me this song he wrote that goesd perfectly with the teabag campaign.

Corporate Kings
Recordings
This song is a history lesson, a call to action, and hopefully an anthem for a new movement. Written in June 2005.

Corporate Kings
The Boston tea party was not about taxes
Don't you believe it, here's what the facts it.
The reason that Adams and Revere were so pissed
had causes that history teachers often have missed

You see East India Company had debts to pay
So the King and Brit Parlament looked for a way
To corner the market on the colonist's tea
Giving East India monopoly.

A group of patriots fought for a new nation
One that was free from kings and corporations
Washington Jefferson Adams Revere
Made a stand for values held dear

CHORUS
They said
We the people, we have the power
To take on all injustice, and make it right
We the people, this is the hour
To set aside our difference and stand and fight
If history teaches anything it's that we must resist
CORPORATE KINGS

Rockefeller oil, Carnegie Steel
American tobacco JP Morgan rail
Randolf Hearst had the papers and opinions
They each had their union busting minions

A group of progressives fought for the nation
One that was free from kings of corporations
Teddy and the muckrackers Wilson and Taft
Busted up trusts and hoped it would last

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
"Corporate King" has changed through centuries
The 18th there was one king and one company
Turn of the 20th there were a few kings of monopoly
Now a few globals want dominion over you and me

Progressive must once again fight for this nation
To set us all free from corporate domination
Lakoff Chomsky Boxer and Dean
Must build a new message to say what we mean

CHORUS

If this were a dictatorship, It'd be a heck of a lot easier
Just so long as I'm the dictator
Just so long as I'm the dictator
I'm the dictator
I'm the dictator
The dictator
