1. Well, it's still Sunday out here in SoCal.
But I'm getting concerned.

Is EarlG too busy keeping the Wife happy to write the column? Oh, I guess that's o.k. My hubby's number one duty is to keep ME happy.

2. 1. George W. Bush - "Bush reads"
Or at least that's what we thought until Tony Snow reported it went beyond a platonic perusal of prose:

President Bush reads.

He's well past 20 books so far this year. The one he's working on now: A book about Abraham Lincoln's election and years as president.

(snip)

"What's he reading?'' the White House press secretary, Tony Snow, was asked about the president, who has retreated to his Texas ranch for an 11-day vacation – "such as it is,'' Snow notes.

Snow says Bush has been working on it on Air Force One.

"I know he's doing a book on Lincoln on Air Force One,'' Snow said at a briefing for reporters in a schoolhouse in Crawford where a gymnasium serves as a press-room for the president while he's resting at his ranch miles away. "But I don't know beyond that,'' Snow said.

(snip)

The cover story seems to indicate Bush was reading about a former president in between trysts with Condi Rice and playing macho lumberjack clearing brush, but upon further review it appears he was reading gay porn.

OK, who wants to do #2? :D

6. Most of 'em are in Crawford, I guess.
 There should be an environmental regulation that disallows that much idiocy to assemble on one place.
