How to reduce exploitation of third-world laborers in three easy steps |
|
Step One: The CEO and boardmembers of the company in question may not receive gross or net compensation greater than ten times the value of the compensation of the lowest-paid employee, in current US dollars
Step Two: The aggregate bonuses and retirement packages of the CEO and boardmembers of the company shall not exceed (per person) the value of the aggregate bonuses and retirement packages of the least compensated employee, also in current US dollars
Step Three: Each month, the CEO and boardmembers of the company shall each be required to drink at least one pint of output liquid waste from each facility owned by the company.
Sure, there are ways around these new guidelines, such as sub-contracting and sub-sub-contracting, but we can address those in turn.

2. Love the first two.... |

The first one is an idea that I've tossed around with various people in the past.... Good luck with enforcement, but I think it's a good plan, to set a multiplier limit.

As for the third one, I was thinking that such an incentive might inspire the upper eschelons to ensure that the company isn't dumping anything into the environment that's more harmful than they'd be willing to ingest themselves.

4. Good point--but like I said, we can address those in turn |
|
Such as: no employee of the company, nor any consultant in an executive or advisory role, can earn more than 10 times what the lowest-compensated employee receives.
