George Allen, hypocrite: anti-choice but holds stock in Barr Labs
George Allen is your typical hypocritical Republican. He is "staunchly" anti-choice but his latest financial statements indicates that he holds stock in Barr Labs which manufactures Plan B--which prevents pregnancy if taken within 72-hours of pregnancy.

1. as a professional trader
i don't (and i don't think many traders do) make investment decisions based on whether the underlying companies agree with me (or don't politically)

that does not make one a hypocrite UNLESS one criticizes OTHERS for doing so and then does so themself

that, imo, is hypocrisy. but if one does not subscribe to the idea that one invests one's conscience, then it';s not hypocritical

that's tangential to whether or not Allen opposes the use of plan B.

2. I think it is hypocritcal to be staunchly anti-choice and yet hold
stock in a company which produces medication which can terminate a possible pregnancy.

3. i have a different pov
again, i do not personally subscribe to the theory that one should invest only in companies that make products that you "agree with " so to speak

i don't see it as hypocritical unless one claims that is wrong for others to do so, then does so oneself

barr makes a LOT of different drugs btw.

4. It doesn't terminate a possible pregnancy.
Just for clarification, it prevents implantation which prevents pregnancy. It works as a contraceptive. If you are already pregnant and take the pill, nothing happens.
