10. None.
Supposedly, each precinct got one delivered as a "trial" machine for traing, etc., but the state-wide order was canceled by the SOS after it was shown the Diebold had lied on it's proposal to the state. So at least for 2006, we're DRE-free.

16. We aren't. Feds haven't kicked in the door yet.
Apparently, because it was the fault of Diebold for submitting a bogus proposal, we skated out of the HAVA law. But the SOS's moratorium on DRE's isn't forever. Diebold was given on opportunity to correct its mistakes and rebid. But it won't happen in time for 2006, obviously. 2008 is another fight. Hopefully, momentum has turned so much against the cabal now that that is much less likely to occur. Hopefully.

33. It's doable
Hell, stolen elections are as American as apple pie and picket fences.

Long before the electronic era, on ballots from national to state and local - there have been stolen elections.

Florida did it in 2000 without needing any help from Diebold, as DU is well-versed in.

38. Yes, but it takes much more time, and a much better team in place
To steal elections without rigging the machines requires bringing out the "dead" vote, double voting, etc. All of these things have been made much more difficult under HAVA, with more strict identification requirements, etc. Sure, elections have been stolen since elections were invented. But I don't think the GOP is going to go out and help steal this one for a democrat, and I think Joe's realization that he'd lose came too late for them to bring out the dead.

15. My Parents are voting for Ned too.
A friend of my mom's is voting for LIEberman because of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict. :eyes:
Lieberman signs have been popping up since Friday, before that the Lamont signs outnumbered Lieberman signs by a great deal.

The sudden surge in Lieberman yard signs can only be propaganda from the Lieberman supporters/Republicans.

18. You're right...I've seen more Joe signs this weekend than all campaign
Not a one to be seen anywhere, except in front of Joe and Haddasah's house. Then suddenly, since Friday, they're like mushrooms. But Ned's are like super-mushrooms. Joe's signs are still outnumbered at least ten-to-one anywhere I've seen.

19. Hardball was very disturbing...
I watched the last 20 minutes of it and it was a long Lieberman commercial.

It struck me that something like Hardball is little different from the oil lobby that sponsored the Al Gore youtube video posing as a young indie filmmaker. Hardball is all corporate lobbying masquerading as 'news'.

I hope people rebel against corporations trying to sway our votes. They haven't yet, so I'm not hopeful.

And if all of this favorable coverage means that a few complacent Lamont supporters get off thier butts and vote tomorrow, all for the better.

all...every one, predicted a pounding by Ned.

Even Tony tubcakes said his people convinced him he was wrong and that Lieberman was "going to get his hat handed to him."

And get this, not only tomorrow but in the general.
