Santorum spouts lies and hypocrisy at my son's high school
My son just walked in the door and said that our wonderful Senator Rick Santorum spoke today at his high school. The topic was the importance of studying math and science. Can you believe it? Rick Santorum who supported the introduction of "intelligent design" into the science curriculum of public schools is now lecturing students on the importance of science and math so we can compete with China and India.

My son said he couldn't even bear to look at him. One of the members of the Young Democrats Club confronted him on his hypocrisy and Ricky got testy with the student. The microphone was taken away when she tried to ask a follow up question.

1. Who took the microphone away?
A teacher? Principal? One of Santorum's lackeys? Was this a Catholic High School?

4. He said a teacher, and this was a PUBLIC high school.
So much for free speech, huh? Kids have to sit and listen to Santorum's bullshit indoctrination but they are restricted in their responses/ questions.

3. Of course he did...
He's Santorum, after all; that's what he does. What an asshole (him, I mean). :puke:

Man--I can sympathize with yr. son. The thought of seeing that narrow-eyed, sanctimonious, hypocritical POS in the flesh... brr. And a big :toast: :yourock: to the YDC girl!

8. Yeah, Santorum is a much reviled persona in our house.
He said kids asked about Iraq and hadn't it made the US more hated. Of course Santorum said that was untrue.

Someone also asked about the Abramoff scandal and Ricky replied with more BS, because of course he is lilly-white CLEAN when it comes to corruption. :sarcasm:

6. Santorum couldn't even handle one informed high school kid
 I love it!

On that same end, it shows how much they despise dissent and truth.

12. Yes, it's a tough school for Democrats.
The district is overwhelmingly Republican, and so the kids who proudly admit to being a Democrat are generally pretty well-informed and confident.

11. Ah, Santorum...
the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex.

(Gotta keep this definition at the top of the google list for "Santorum".)

13. So Santorum speaks at a public high school in PA,
the very same state where he ripped off the taxpayers of Penn Hills School District for cyber-schooling his kids, EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T LIVE THERE! The taxpayers of your district just got ripped off, too because their kids had to endure being spoken to by an imbecile!

You know what? That f*cker Santorum is batshit crazy. He shouldn't be allowed in ANY school.

15. Hypocrite
Why was he speaking at a public school? He doesn't believe in them.

I'm willing to bet his own home-schooled, but taxpayer subsidized, brood will never, ever step foot inside of a publicly-funded educational institution. Private schools all the way.

Ricky wishes all publicly funded education systems fail, making it a religious or privately run business. That way the fundies have all the control over the minds of our children, making sure that they can turn out more minions for the empire.

That is a Repuke wet dream.

16. Santorum spouted statistics about how many more engineers were
graduating in China compared to in the US. I wish someone would have pointed out to him the fact that the Republicans' cuts to student loan programs were not helpful.

In China, I doubt that any deserving student is denied the chance to attend college because of lack of money.
