Guess the top headline in tomorrow's Hartford Courant:
If you guessed anything with Lamont in the headline, you're wrong.

"Lieberman Defiant in Defeat" is already up on their website.

I don't want to sound petty, but do you think maybe the media could start using the word Lamont in their headlines now?

1. I'd have put "Lieberman Petty in Defeat"
...lacks the good graces to wait two years before going to another party.

They endorsed Lieberman. Then again, they endorsed Bush too. :eyes:

5. yet they wrote;

"With the nation watching, Connecticut Democrats thronged to the polls in unexpectedly high numbers Tuesday to reject Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman and endorse his anti-war challenger, Ned Lamont."

that's beauty of itself!

8. Jeez, can they be more transparent?
You know what's funny? I KNEW Lamont had won because before I logged onto DU, I was channel surfing through the standard MSM stations, and NONE of them was even mentioning the CT. primary! I actually had to laugh.

It's been so apparent that TPTB have been pushing Lieberman in every way, straight-forward and otherwise, that they could think of, that when I saw NO coverage of the race long after the polls had closed, I didn't doubt for a second that Lamont had won.

Came to DU and whaddyaknow???

YAY Lamont!!!! :woohoo:

9. "Lieberman Finishes Race a Close Second; Lamont Places Next to Last"
That's a paraphrase of the 'car race' example
that my HS teacher gave to demonstrate how PRAVDA
spun the facts to support the old Soviet regime.

That was a pretty HORRIBLE place, the USSR- we learned
how the elections were shams there, how the government
imprisoned the citizens without charges or fair trials,
the way they invaded smaller nations in wars of conquest...

Thank GOD those horrible, lying Commies aren't around anymore!

It made me laugh.

But my laugh wilted as I kept reading.

Good post.

13. You don't sound that petty but right now Lieberman is the story

or at least the story is right now very Joe-centric.
