Lieberman should have appeared on the Colbert Report
He might have gotten that Post-Colbert Bounce, or "PCB as the kids call it"<1>, if he had.

<1> Stephen Colbert

1. It certainly couldn't have hurt.
He is such a stiff though, he probably couldn't handle it anyway.

2. Colbert invited him often enough
And Lamont (aka the winner) was on the Repor(t).

Dunno why Joe was so unwilling to be there; he and Colbert are both "hawks." ;)

8. Thank you so much rpannier
I've been reading DU for years and it's nice to be able to participate.

DU's an oasis in a desert of insanity.

5. well,
Lieberman actually did a good job on the Daily Show when he appeared in 2004, I think around the party conventions. He was funny and the audience applauded him. But yeah, Lieberman is done, put a fork in him.

6. YES! Big miscalculation on Joe's part.
Colbert even gave him another shot tonight. Sad.

9. It wouldn't have been funny.

Colbert's character is just a different version of Joe. It would have sounded like a Hannit interview. And that wouldn't be funny.
