Who ever posted this the other day is 100% correct. He is now looking for the republican support.

1. I think he'll split the Republican vote - not the Dem vote
I think most Dems are ticked that he's so selfish that he can't except the results of the Dem primary.

10. The danger is that he'll split both...
...and with the Republican candidate polling about 13% in a 3-way race, we have a lot more to lose than they do.

That said, I think Lamont's win will substantially change the 3-way poll numbers we've seen.

16. You know, I could actually like Lieberman if he were a republican.
Just like I sometimes like Snowe, Chaffee, Hagel, Collins and McCain. As a republican, Joe would be a reasonable, bipartisan guy.

I think his only political future is as a republican. Lord knows, he's not good enough to be a democrat anymore.

18. If the challenger shows video of Clinton stumping for Lieberman, there's
a section of the population who will vote against him every time - just because of the Rush inspired viceral hatred they have of anything Clinton

7. It's an easy way to sort out the real Democrats from the Dino's.
Just see which one is being promoted on FOX vs which one is being demonized.

3. Ann the man had it right. He should stop pretending and just run

4. Just heard him on GMA
He is emphasizing the evil blogger meme, and, he emphasizes the "narrow victory" of Lamont.

It would be nice to see the networks give Lamont equal time. I guess that would be too much to ask.

9. Oddly ** had a much narrower victory (of sorts) over Kerry
and he got a mandate with guckert. What a peculiar world we live in.

What happened to Lamont? I mean what happened to having the VICTOR on tv?
This is VERY telling, imho! Unbelievable! Fuck Joe and ABC, NBC, & CBS!
He is grouping everybody in CT. who voted against him, as "those evil 'way left' voters!" (quotes mine)
He just dissed half of the people who voted last night! :grr: Half the Democrats in his state!

He was on every morning show also! He speaks like a true repig!
argh!

I need more :donut: ;)

15. CNN will have Lamont on at 8:15 ET
Will wonders never cease! It will be interesting to see how he is questioned - particularly about his blogger support.

20. I agree.
I believe that some of the national powers in the republican party are pressuring the state machine to endorse Joe.

12. Two results in November out of three work for Bush apologists
Lieberman wins, you get a yes-man for 90 percent of Bush's stuff ...

Fill-in-the-blank republican (yes, he has a name, but who really knows it, nationally?) wins, Bush gets 100 percent of his stuff passed.

Lamont wins in November, we wait and see ...

and Bush gives him the job he's been offering Joe, who appoints the Senator to replace him? The Governor? A special election
