We should all be writing our Representatives to stand with Lamont
Joementum tried to pull a little publicity stunt last night turning what should have been a graceful concession speech into a campaign platform (wait a day dude....poor form). And then the website business. Lamont should get a huge media boost from his win, but Joe is going to try to steal his thunder when he knows he helps Ned most.

Write your democratic leaders to their support behind Lamont. Not only should their party's nominee, but they should help him ride this wave of recognition so that people can get to know him better.

1. Or we can ask them to have a talk with Lieberman....
and ask him to stay loyal to the Democratic party even if he is going to run as an Independent.

2. If he's refusing to "let the results stand" and running a campaign
to defeat the Connecticut Democratic Party nominee, I'd say he's already being disloyal to Democrats. JMHO.

to the Demcratic party and hurt the next Republican choice for Prez in 2008.

Obvious isn't it?

7. That's fine. If that's his ability, he should go ahead and accept
the results and work toward defeating the next Republican choice for Prez in 2008. Taking a second bite of the apple only attempts to pull people away from the Democratic Party. I just can't see people following Joe whichever way he says the wind blows.

Welcome to DU, btw! Glad to have you! :hi:

10. I completely disagree
Lieberman will not have a better ability to draw swing voters. I'm here in CT and work in an office in the state where almost everyone is an independent who is waiting for the GE to vote. Everyone was routing for Lamont. For change. Lieberman will get those who were loyal to him ( some who voted yesterday, some indie help and some Republican help. Lamont will get many more democrats (yesterday's voters, yesterday's voters for Lieberman who do not want to leave the party, many independents, and even some Republicans).

Joe will hurt both Lamont and Schlesinger, but will be the demise of Schlesinger and just a bruise to Lamont.

Lieberman can draw security conscious swing voters from other states.
