Anyone hear the C-SPAN caller call Lamont voters "terrorists"? |
|
Not only are you not a good American citizen, but you are a friggin' terrorist! If you don't agree with Joe Lieberman and the corporate agenda, then you should not even be permitted to vote. If you don't agree with the insane war in Iraq, then you are not a patriotic American. In fact, you are a "terrorist".

3. That meme came from Newtler Gingrich |
|
Newtler called Lamont voters "insurgents" on national TV. This "terrorists" caller is merely regurgitating GOP talking points.

4. And as both sides stand around pointing fingers at the other side... |
|
the ship continues to sink.
America is for Americans, and Americans are individualists, and Individualists are, well, individuals. This means that they see things differently, by definition.
This straw man stuff about who is a 'good American' (good German, anyone?) and who is not needs to stop. It should even be allowed into the debate. It should be dismissed for what it is: inflammatory rhetoric, and nothing more.

can be imprisoned without trial?
yes, I know it's hyperbole, but we seem to be headed that way unless We The People stop it, and I think we will.

When Brazile and Dean were on. The caller was from Alabama and said the voters in CT were terrorists and Dean and his brother (Howard) were nuts. Typical freeper.

but I did hear a "so called" Christian pastor tell two guests on the ridiculous Scarborough show that they would attack Jesus but never Allah. Right wing whackjobs pull out the Muslim/Terrorist card whenever they can. Here's the funny part. It was during a discussion on Will Ferrells new movie "Talladega Nights". He was upset over the stereotyping of Nascar loving rednecks.

process that voters for the winner in an election are allowed to be called terrorists.
The fact that this makes sense to some people tells me that the level of totalitarianism (in mindset) in this country is creeping to a critical mass. One aspect of the ruling class in our liberalized capitalist (unregulated) federal state is that it hides, even from itself, the fact that it is the ruling class. Any dissent from this small fraction of citizens is seen as "terrorism", code for disorder, which has a meta-reference for "damn I'm not on top anymore." At work you are a "reluctant worker" whose absenteeism is reflective of you, not them. In politics you are a "terrorist" with the audacity to vote. Escaping that vacuum is conceptualized as unpatriotic and so terrifying that the very foundations of the republic when carried out are equated with terrorism. Taxation without representation via the democratic process of voting was the call to arms. We the people know we aren't being represented and that scares their sanctimonious pants off. What's terrifying the most is that the masses, "we the people", outnumber them massively and most of us know the score. They know that if even a majority of the masses revolt against them that our votes will crush theirs.
Yet I find solace in the fact that one of their minions has been forced outside of the institutionalized party system; still scratching and clawing at the seat of power he self-righteously thinks is his. The people own that seat and we should reject any smug asshole who feels that same sense of entitlement; not to the people to his/her own power.

Does that make me a sponsor of terrorism?
You know, like the Saudis who pay off extremists to go blow shit up in other peoples' countries?? BushCo's buddies?
I guess every time the lever got pulled for Lamont, God killed a kitten.
