Will there be hell to pay if Lieberman broke his word to Clinton? |
|
I've heard on various media outlets that the condition for Bill Clinton coming to campaign for Joe a week before the election was that Joe wouldn't run as an Independent if he lost. If that is the case it looks like Lieberman double crossed Clinton and I wonder if there will be hell to be paid. I Know Hillary Clinton has endorsed Ned, and now I'm waiting for a statement from Bill--if Hillary is for Ned, I'm sure he is too--especially if Lieberman double crossed the "Big DAWG"

3. Bill said before the election that he would support the democratic nominee |
|
and that if Joe loses in the primary he should let it go at that.
I hadn't heard anything about such a deal between bill and joe, though ...

5. I heard of the deal, but only as speculation. |
|
Is there some evidence that the deal was really made?

6. um, okay, that's rather absurd |
|
because my missing that little bit of unsubstantiated rumor has rendered me thoroughly uninformed. :eyes:
Perhaps you should show more discernment in what you consider worthy of attention.
All the same, though, welcome to DU Artdyst :hi:

7. Clinton's embrace of BushInc and Iraq war did more harm than Lieberman's |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 12:35 PM by blm
did. Clinton provided BushInc with cover on almost everything he did since 9-11.
It was Clinton advising Dems to support Bush on terrorism and the Iraq war, and since he had been privvy to information they never saw, they trusted his judgement.
The day Clinton claimed he never even heard of the Downing Street Memos and couldn't comment on them, is the day I understood he is not always on our side.
