Poll question: Should "Independent" Lieberman be included in the debates? |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 02:11 PM by WI_DEM
with Lamont and the GOP nominee? What exactly is this "Joe for CT" party anyway? tell the truth I think a legitamite party like the Libertarians and Greens would have more right to be included than some one-man party.
p.s. on the other hand, it would be fun for Lamont to say "Oh, I don't mind debating two republicans."

1. Sure, why not? But if he gets in the debates... |
|
all the minor party candidates get ot as well. That seems fair. Maybe they can all sit off to the side at the kiddie table.

I hate to spoil the fun , but Lieberman losing could be bad for us. Since the vote was sooooo close, and since repukes know their guy cant win, Liebers 48% plus the repukes vote guarantees a Lamont loss in November. I hate to say it, but I think its true. Then Lieberman, with no ties and only malice towards democrats, will caucus with the repukes. Then WE LOSE> bleech !

5. and you think all those 48% will stick with Joe? |
|
the biggest political group in CT is Independents and even among them Bush has about a 30% approval rating and a big majority oppose the war--I think most Dems will come home to Lamont and he will get a majority of Independents too. Joe might run second since the GOP nominee is apparently pretty pathetic. But he will still take GOP votes away from Joe.

10. Does the winner need to get a majority? |
|
If there is no majority, would there be a run-off?

9. If there actually are minor-party candidates, let them in -- |

but not Joe! The Party of One can speak for itself.

It would be a waste of time to put third party candidates in the debate.

12. Lamont could ask if he were being tag teamed. |
|
Or, isn't one republican enough?
