State of the Union address will focus on health care frustrations
WASHINGTON (AP) -- If it's your money, you spend it more wisely. That is the idea behind the health care system that President Bush wants to create with a series of initiatives in his State of the Union address.

"The American people are very, very frustrated with the health care system, for good reason," Al Hubbard, the chairman of Bush's National Economic Council, said Wednesday in an interview.

Health insurance premiums are rising faster than inflation. The number of employers offering health coverage is dropping. The ranks of the uninsured are growing. These developments explain why health care is near the top of many Americans' list of worries.

I am one of those people very concerned with health care. It sounds to me is that Bush's plan would turn out like a auto or house insurance plan. You as a consumer would be penalized for being sick. If you file to many claims you could be dropped or pay huge premiums. Do you think I have his proposal correct?

1. How many times can ** pee on the third rail of American politics
before his tiny dick is burnt off?

First Social Security, then Medicare, now the whole damn system. I wonder if his polls can dip into the teens and he will still not be impeached?

The Republicans have to ask themselves how badly they want to be routed in 2006.

3. We are going to have to really counter attack this one.
There people out there that will actually believe his line of crap not realizing the consequences. I hope we are working on a plan.

4. one of the articles had jrs initiatives listed--most re-runs of what he
has already talked about--like computerizing med records, limits on what pts can collect in malpractice suits, etc etc.

5. The "focus" will expire just as soon as the speech ends. Katrina victims
are still waiting for relief following that New Orleans speech from their gravely concerned president.:eyes:

6. Dems should point out that if his solution to the health care problem
is the same as his solution to prescription drug coverage for seniors then he will just make it worse.
