19. thank you - i dont know why it would be surprising at this point |
|
but yes it is surprising
chris really seems to have low self esteem + not always the best judgment in his remarks he just says these things that are bizarre depending on who is the guest and then says he may get into trouble
anyway thank you for the information ned is a fantastic person to have in government and at least chris had him on today better than last night when even after the victory there was no mention of him the entire time

16. He was closing the segment and saying he was glad Ned was in the race |
|
He told Ned it was great to have someone new shaking things up because too many in Congress think they somehow own their seats.
"I can't support you, but it's good to have someone new shaking things up." Something like that. Wait for the transcript...I still can't believe he said it. Maybe the flying spittle distorted the audio.

MSNBC says ABC blog said Rove apparently called Leiberman to offer President's help WTF? Leiberman talked to Rove - damn! Dan Gerstein said tehre was a call from Rove. Mehlman says he doesn't know about the call.
Damn they're desperate.

22. that is pretty funny - and typical |
|
last night chris couldnt stop talking about joe (though i guess he did razz him a little too) but barely a mention of ned and today...
but thats then nature of this beast and im just glad to see ned on the show - he is vital to democracy as we have it now

23. Actually I think he would rather have Lamont come on |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 04:43 PM by Horse with no Name
so he can have some of his vapid Republican lapdogs attack him face-to-face and weak quasi-DINOS there to offer milquetoast explanations. Tweety never changes his modus operandi. Never. His mission is to make Lamont look weak. Didn't you see the rapid fire questions asking Lamont to say nice things about Republicans?:puke: He was trying to make him look partisan--just in case you weren't sure what he was doing--thereby giving substance to Lieberman's complaint that this was all partisan politics.

24. You got a point there |
|
You may well be right. I'm such an optimist about people, reality burns my butt frequently. You think I'd learn by now, but Noooo, Seems to be nothing i can do against it either. Just my dumb hopeful nature.

The only thing I'd have done differently was pointed out that Bush ignored warnings prior to 911 etc.

|
He's actually one of the absolute most solid democratic voices we have right now.
Thoroughly impressive. I'm proud of him.
