CNN: Iranian Revolutionary Guard found among Hezbollah fighters.
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 04:44 PM by Fridays Child
Blitzer calling his Reuters alert on the subject "official confirmation."

Is there any doubt, now, that this is a U.S. war against Iran?

1. I'm surprised it took the CIA...
...so long to run up the outfits in their Strategic Sewing Center. Maybe they wanted to be sure to get them just right.

What does German and French intelligence say? What does MI6 say about this?

6. Hey, Wolf Blitzer said it and he did so immediately after...
...his Armegeddon interview with God's own Pat Robertson. You need more than that?

By the way, for those keeping score, Wolf has now referred to Cynthia McKinney's statements (whatever they are) as bizarre.

Nope. No bias problems in the mainstream media. No siree, Bob.

/sarcasm

9. right on schedule
Democrats are beginning to line up and speak with one voice about getting out of Iraq, DINOs are being kicked out of the Party, and lo and behold, within 24 hours we've got Iran back in the news again. Funny how that works, huh?

12. Funny that they put the so called Hezbollah captive on TV
and said they weren't violating the Geneva COnvention because they don't wear uniforms. Liars should have better memories. By the way aren't their Americans in the IDF?

16. For what it's worth, the Reuters story
Iranians among Hizbollah combat dead: TV

Members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard have been found among Hizbollah guerrillas slain by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, Israel's Channel 10 television reported on Wednesday citing diplomatic sources.

It said the Iranians were identified by documents found on their bodies, but gave no further details on how many were discovered or when. Neither the Israeli military nor Hizbollah representatives in Beirut had immediate comment on the report.

http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=newsOne&storyID=2006-08-09T215039Z_01_L09100220_RTRUKOC_0_US-MIDEAST-LEBANON-IRANIANS.xml&WTmodLoc=Home-C1-TopStories-newsOne-2

So it's "diplomatic sources", not the Israeli military (and it doesn't even say it's Israeli diplomats). Does CIA psyops (who are allowed to plant stories in non-American media) count as "diplomatic sources"?

20. Now, CNN reports that Israel has "approved" a wider war.
They have no intention of stopping until they destroy Lebanon and the Palestinians. And, if they have to do Bush's bidding to keep the ordnance supply stream steady, so be it.

I'm not even willing to believe that they were Iranian. The first casualty of war is always truth.

In any case, Israeli TV reported to Reuters that the dead Iranians were IRG. I remain skeptical.

25. There is a difference you must admit..
between remaining skeptical and "refusing to believe they are Iranian" as you said previously. The former implies that it is possible that they are in fact dead Iranians. The latter implies that no matter what, you will never believe they are Iranian.

Given that the IRG fought with Hezbollah during the first war in Lebanon and that Iran publicly announced that volunteers were headed for Lebanon, I don't think this is some amazing, sinister plot.

26. These are people who contemplated painting a fighter with UN colors
in order to hasten a conflagration with Saddam. They are not to be trusted.

When will MSM start reporting in the context of all the proven lies from this administration? When we hear a government report, the first thing we should all be doing is doubting its reliability....and the "news" outfits should be the first to put a report in proper context by reminding us of 6 years of deception and error. DU has a dozen threads on the shocking history of fake news and fake reports coming from the WH (no need to repeat)...yet CNN gobbles up any official announcement and hands it right to us.

This scares the hell out of me....true or not.
