OMG TX-22 Just got a Reep Candidate Who's MORE AWFUL than Tom DeLay !!!
The Lord of Politics Blessing Be Well Upon us Here in TX DIstrict "C'mon, 22!"

August 9 - It's official! The Republicans have just scraped the bottom of the barrel.

Sugar Land Mayor David Wallace will be a write-in candidate for the seat House Majority Leader Tom DeLay abandoned, according to a member of Wallace's campaign team.
Thank you, Ms. Genie - that was my third wish!

He won't be able to raise money for a write-in race, his ethics become the issue, and he goes into the 2008 race as a loser.

OH NO! Sit your rump down because you're not going to believe this.
David Wallace made his announcement to run as a write-in while the selection committee (see below) was still meeting. I'm not kidding --- he by-passed the entire process and named himself KING while everyone else was waiting patiently.

3. After reading John Dean's new book, the seemingly
irrational behavior makes sense. The Republicans have been taken over by religious and sectarian authoritarians, and are attracting more. Power is their thing and they have no qualms about screwing up everybody and everything around them to gain and hold on to that power.

They take power to control, not to serve.

6. Disagree with John Dean
The core Republicans are multinational corporations (with emphasis in the energy sector) and wealthy who already HAVE power and control and want to hold onto it. They just simply co-opted those other groups to their cause by exploiting their fears and pet causes and giving them a feeling that they too might share in the power.

8. Everybody is using everybody for their own selfish ends.
The Neo Cons are using the Evangelicals, and the Evangelicals are using the Neo Cons. The corporatist are using both.
