Who is the dem strategist (female) on Hardball? |
|
She's not a very good spokesman and always looks like a deer caught in the headlights. Are there no better reps for the dem viewpoint who are able to articulate our focus and views better than her?
It just seems as if these shows always pit the rethugs against a poor debater on the dem side.

1. this has been going on for years |
|
if i were dnc chair the first thing i'd do is find 5 or 6 real pitbull, partisan, sharp as nails talking heads, pay 'em $100,000 a year and send 'em all over the country just to do media.

2. agreed! How are dem strategists spokespeople chosen anyway? |
|
are they sanctioned by the DNC? We've got to do better in this arena. The rethugs have this thing down. They lie, fabricate, totally distort, and misrepresent every time they open their mouths. But they do it with precision, lock-step, and with cajones.
We need just that (without the lying, distortions, and misrepresentations of course!)

6. It's a free for all. Beltway cocktail party popularity contest |
|
their effectiveness as representitives of the party has nothing to do with their selection.
Donna Brazile hs been disgracing the party for years but still keeps appearing.

14. meanwhile losers like Bob Shrum keep losing elections |
|
Shrum is good on TV. And that's it.
Keep him on TV, ban him from campaigns.

15. They don't work for the party or represent it |
|
in any official capacity. They're like "Dems for hire" who will say anything to earn a few bucks on tv.

the corporate media will never allow them on until they're divested and re-regulated.
They seek and and much prefer these weak and inarticulate consultants and politicians (like Biden and Lieberman).
It's basic part of the far right propaganda machine- that the Clinton and the DLC types helped to build.

|
she is TOTALLY ineffective and I scratch my head trying to figure out how she would every get a gig speaking nationally as a dem strategist.

8. Yes, Backus let Ben Ginzberg run all over her the other day. |
|
Backus did a good job presenting a responsible Iraq position. Ginzberg went into his "Cut-and-run" vs. "support Bush" dichotomy and Backus said *NOTHING*. Ginzberg basically stood in front of her open to a sucker punch and she let him slide.
I was disgusted by her lack of initiative.

11. THAT"S HER! She did it again tonight with the rethug guy. She sits |
|
there and looks totally clueless as they spout lies and misrepresentations and makes us look collectively, weak and bumbling. We've got to change this. There are dems out there who can make a point and make it well. Can we do anything to change this. We need strong, direct voices to make our arguments for 06 and 08.

13. She was spokesperson for DNC under McAuliffe |
|
is now probably a "consultant".
MSM political shows aren't going to choose a competent Dem to go up against these people.

it blows my mind why we can't get some decent spokespeople on these tv programs.
Schlub, Brazille, this joke tonight. Where do they pick up these people, out of a neighborhood bar?
Charo could do a better job.
