9. Then you are definitely seeing something different than I am.

For one, the articles spread across the entire window. The calendar page you gave has no equivalent anywhere on DU (very ugly). There aren't pictures associated with the Latest posts on DU. There isn't a paragraph with each one. I see only the resemblance in type usage, which is becoming pretty standard and boring.

Think back to what DU looked like before they changed the Home page a few months ago.

and it has that same dumb ad with Rove and the stars revolving around his head that drives me nuts. I hate that ad, not the subject just the stupid stars!

You won't have that problem. And it's great. Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rice...none of em have a chance on my screen.

What setting do you use to block it? Do you have to block DU cookies?

8. No. I haven't blocked or unblocked any cookies.

I just installed the latest version of Firefox, right click over the ad and the last option is "adblock image."

I left click on it and it's gone.

13. Not the same colors. But sometimes when you are building a website..

you do "view code" of other sites if you like something about them.. be it color combinations or the amount of white space.

But no..the ads are the same. The colors and layout.. not so much.
