Stephen Colbert compared Bush to a cordless vacuum |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 12:20 AM by Ms. Clio
He explained why Bush really needed his vacation: "Folks, the President needs a break. He’s like a Black and Decker cordless Dirt Devil vacuum. If you don’t recharge his batteries, he can’t suck."

Olbermann will have to move over in the bed.
Odd how Bush can both suck and blow at the same time.

and I'm 51 now! I just LOVE that man. It's sad, because I go over to colbertnation.com, and the majority of girls in love with him are in their teens - I feel like a grandma! My husband is threatening to use the parental block on the tv so I can't watch him anymore.....
"Joe and I are a lot alike - I'm an independent who is often mistaken for a republican", and the sucks line had me laughing out loud!

I keep looking at him and trying to remember how I felt about him when he was doing Mr. Goodwrench. He had some great moments in those commercials, but I don't think I found him sexy.
I'm 56 btw. I'm old, not dead. :)

32. I never saw those commercials.... |
|
they're probably on youtube though, I'm slowing going through all the Colbert and Jon Stewart videos, which might take years. I didn't know who he was until I watched the WH correspondents dinner, and it was love at first sight...I haven't missed a show since.
I didn't FEEL old until I checked out the new messageboard at colbertnation.com, and I just can't figure out why 13 year olds would find him "hot" - it just seems funny to me, but they must be damn smart 13 year olds.
Actually, my longest lasting crush has been on the musician Jackson Browne, and it's been since the 70's - you'd think my husband would be glad I had a new one! :-)

35. He played much the same character |
|
A totally serious dead-pan character saying absurd things. In one, he was sitting at a secretary's desk, looking through her rolodex. When she asks him, pointedly, "Can I help you?" He waves a hand at her and says, "I'm good."
In another he asks Mr. Goodwrench, "If Mr. Goodwrench were a tool, what tool would he be?" When the mechanic says, "A wrench?" Colbert answers, "Oh, we were looking for mitre saw. Mitre saw."

We are all too late, as Mrs. Stephen Colbert has already claimed him: Interests: Yes, yes, the ‘factinistas’ are trying to tell me in ‘reality’ he is married to somebody else. But my gut tells me I am Mrs. Stephen Colbert. LOL!

Okay, you get Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Colbert. I'll take Olbermann those nights. On Saturday and Sunday, Howard Dean is mine!
:)
Okay, I'll stop being silly now.
