"Officials said the plot was very close to operational" - BREAKING
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 08:12 AM by Atman
SO IT WASN'T/ISN'T OPERATIONAL. It was PLOT, and IDEA, and it was NOT OPERATIONAL! So why the hell are the airports doing ANYTHING different? IT WAS NOT AN OPERATIONAL PLOT! Yet, for some reason the world has to come to a standstill...

Wait, as I type this, new information coming across from CNN which is making me even MORE suspsicious that this was a carefully timed release of terra -- BUSHCO HAS BEEN IN TOUCH WITH BLAIR ABOUT THIS FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

So WHY, oh WHY did they decide to go balls-out TODAY, the day after they got their wake up call, the day after every spokesman on the GOP side the crazy lefties will make us unsafe?

I'm smelling very fetid Bush-shit here, folks.

1. This is why the world stood still
"Pay no attention to the election in Connecticut! Pay no attention to the mounting death toll in Lebanon and a loud voice accusing Israel of crimes against humanity! Terra, terra, terra!"

3. Remember that Blair returned to the UK very "rejuvenated"?
I'm staying for another year at least, vows Blair

By Patrick Hennessy and Melissa Kite

(Filed: 06/08/2006)

Tony Blair has fired the opening shots in a new war with Gordon Brown by indicating that he wants to stay in power for "at least another year," The Sunday Telegraph has learnt.

Close colleagues of the Prime Minister say that he returned from his five-day trip to the United States feeling "rejuvenated" and believing that he still has a major role to play both domestically and internationally.

He has ordered his aides to prepare a packed programme for September, between his return from his Caribbean holiday and the start of the Labour Party conference in Manchester.

Authoritative sources said that Mr Blair is also ready for a fresh fight with his Labour critics, both inside and outside his Cabinet, by seeking to push through a fresh round of "modernising" reforms in health and education.

6. Is that what the OP said? Or is even about?
I suggest you read it again. Or once at all, for that matter.

10. I think you're right. The new security measures are very disruptive.
I don't think the British authorities, or the American authorities, are going to decrease the public's confidence in air travel (further damaging an industry in precarious financial straits) just to score a transient political gain.

11. Professional killers?
Please! Most of these people have never killed anybody before they commit their first (and last) terrorist act. They are recruited from the mosques and madrassas and come to avenge real and imagined wrongs (not so many imagined nowadays) against their People, Religion or Families by the "Great Satan". They are no more professional killers than You (well actually, I don't know about you) or I.

5. We want them nonoperational over there, rather than
non-operational over here.

Hey, do you want your bottled water to become a mushroom cloud or a smoking gun?

Just wait til they add reports about Iran's WMD in and around civilian areas like Tehran. You know, to the north, the west, somewhat to the east and south of there.

Note today's date.
<snip>
The decision of Mr Straw's PPS to break ranks and back the recall demand will be seen as an embarrassing sign of strains within the Government.

Kitty Ussher, the, Labour MP for Burnley, was highly critical of Mr Blair's handling of the Lebanese crisis and its impact on community relations in Britain.

Writing in the New Statesman, she said: "All our efforts since Iraq to persuade British Muslims that our Labour government was not using foreign policy to persecute those of their religion had been undone. The only conclusion is that the Prime Minister thought it was OK for Muslim people to keep dying."

Add snip.

9. Richard Clark just said that we shouldn't just focus on the airlines.
He said Al Qaeda was capable of doing different things simultaneously.

Yeah I'll bet..........count on it.

"They" (Bushco) will do something...I give it three weeks tops followed by an invasion of Syria.
