In all seriousness I hate this panic that the media tries to sell. On one hand the security may save lives but the past track records from the governments from both sides of the "pond" make us doubt any report. Airport security is no stranger to me, I have an artificial knee and I get gang rushed every time I go through the metal detector. I found it easier to just go into the fleeing purp, arms in the air, slowly going to my belly, surrender position every time. It just makes life easier.

About the only thing I ever carry on is a few of my old cameras, I would hate to have to check them. Since mothers now have to taste the babies formula before they board will I have to lick my film? Could a mother hire "an official taster" like Kings and Queens used to do checking for poison?

Life would be so much easier if they just let us fly naked, just remember I have the website all ready set up. I guess Fox News is staying on target, finding blond haired missing girls and protecting us from these people:

I want to own a Leica lens before I die. I've shot Minolta for the last 40 years and they have served me well but I want your camera so just give it up and I won't bust your other knee.

if you ever get your hands on a Leica you'll never let go. It helps if you know how to fix them, mine are 60 to 70 years old. You can find good bodies at a couple of great places, my favorite is KEH. Look at the bargain priced ones, they are usually in great shape. It's those lens you talk about that will kill the wallet that's why alot of people use those old Russian lenses.

I'm in touch with alot of photographers who sometimes sell their Leicas, if you're interested I'll hook you up with some of them.
