6. Who did he say that to? It is those times in one's life when in a |
|
moment you know that the correct thing to do would be to remove your microphone(if you were the guest) and say "I can't sit here and laugh at that;you just compared a film maker to a terrorist. That was over the top - I'm calling you on it"
And walk off
You'll be able to look at yourself in the mirror in the morning

8. Simple solution: Stop watching him. |
|
Seriously, why is this so hard for people on the left to do? Either that or stop getting riled up when these fucking clowns do or say something stupid.

You mean I can just change my channel and watch something else? Or turn off the tv completely and go online or listen to a cd? Are you sure it's not more complicated than that?
Why exactly can't I watch garbage like Tweety, and then spend another hour posting about how I can't stand him, and how biased he is. I'd rather watch and be miserable, and then complain that he makes me miserable. That's much easier than pushing a button to change the channel, don't ya think?

18. then you have situations where |
|
people make themselves miserable by clicking on threads where topics that irritate them are being discussed.
Corporate media shilling for the right wing is one of the biggest problems we have to deal with. Therefore you have people who feel it's worthwhile to monitor the corporate media to stay abreast of whatever flavor of bullshit they're shoveling to the public at large on any given day. In fact, there are entire websites devoted to this end. Demanding the participants "stop watching" the offending program serves no purpose except possibly to derail discussion. Maybe someone should tell sites like Media Matters that if they'd just "stop watching" they wouldn't have so much to complain about.

19. best point on thread! thx |
|
btw, I saw that AHole say it, and was going to start a thread myself, but forgot.
really stunned when I heard it, and mad that whoever was on (can't remember if it was Herbert, etal, or Cressey==>was he on with them?). but nobody bothered to call him on it
really infuriating
keep wondering why I ever watch, especially lately
has he EVER been worse?

25. I can remember the deranged shifts in Tweety's on-air persona |
|
from way back in mediawhoresonline days. Even skeptics would be convinced by his occasional lapses into semi-sanity: "Tweety has seen the light!" After awhile you realize watching him is like riding the Tilt-a-Whirl at a cheap carnival.

that complain about this. Believe me, I wish I did not feel compelled to watch this crap, and in fact, I do watch it far less than before the second stolen election. But we need to keep an eye on the people that empower these thugs in the WH. And responding to their lies/outrageous statements, are one of those ways.

11. Anybody catch his little blurb for Hardball Friday night's show? |
|
Tweety is having the "MSNBC All Stars" to talk about news, events, etc. Said he was having all the Stars - Crosby, Scarborough, Carlson, etc. The notable missing name, of course, is Olbermann. The one guy who actually reports the news and he is left off of Tweety's list of All Stars. All repugs and journalist wannabes going to have a circle jerk for Tweety on Friday night - must miss TV.
I'm betting Tweety has a real bug up his ass about KO's loyal following and ratings. Tweety is a hack, KO is pure

|
wide up this craven back. He's back to counting on *'s "sublime manliness" to keep him and his safe. He's not risking anything. His sons won't be tapped to fight this war and he'l be able to make his mortgage payments.
Frat boys, sons of privilege at a drunken house brawl. Each trying to justify how while being drunk with power they wer able to tear up the neighborhood. Cowards all. Osama & * -- both spoiled and with huge sense of entitlement and righteousness tearing the world asunder. Tweety is the canary in the mine shaft. When he keels over from sheer terror, the masses are jerked into the Great Fear and mayhem. They go to die--the sons of the poor.
