Mass Murder on an Unimaginable Scale?
Really?

Shoes at Auschwitz.

Mass shooting at Auschwitz.

Killing field of Cambodia.

Uh, administration flaks should really consult their history books and get a fucking grip. I smell their panicky fear and I am disgusted.

3. 9 airplanes - 200-300 passengers per plane...
1800 - 2700 casualties. Terrible but not "unimaginable"...

4. It's unimaginable because it would happen to white Christian people
rwanda, darfur, nazi germany, cambodia, milosivec, mao tse tung, castro, peron, lenin, stalin - none of those matter cuz they happened to dark people or non-european non-Christians, or, in the case of Russia, Orthodox Christians, which don't count, or Jews or whatever.

Millions slaughtered in Africa is "unfortunate".

A few thousand white Christians killed in Britain or the US - that's unimaginable.

I do wish you would get the Republican play book, so you can follow along.

9. What's the old calculation?
1 American life = 10 British lives = 30 Other Western lives = 5000 Third World lives.

Using this scale, 2,700 American lives lost is equivalent to over 13 million LBP (Little Brown People). That must be where they're getting the 'unimaginable' from. It wouldn't be so bad if we Americans weren't so much better than everyone else. Our lives are just that much more precious, you see.

5. I agree...
... also, as bad as the loss of 10-12 large jets would be, the number of deaths, while tragically large, would still be quite imaginable... probably between 3,000 to 5,000 people. Does this mean that the loss of US troops in Iraq is now approaching the "unimaginable"? If so, I'd like to see the MSM adopt this phrase in reference to the US forces deaths in Iraq from now on.

(I apologize for leaving out the 100,000 Iraqi deaths in my above post)

6. It's more
"clash of civilizations" rhetoric. The Cold War is over, long live the Long War.

7. I hope he is using that word just for the sake of hysteria and
hyperbole. Would hate to think that counter-terrorism people REALLY can't imagine these simple scenarios and therefore thwart them.

8. It's a war of the imagination.
We imagine all the horrible things that could happen to us. Then kill the people we imagine could do it.

It worked with Saddam's WMD and Iraq.
