ALERT: Terrorists determined to kill Americans on American soil. |
|
Terrorists. They're everywhere. And America is very much still at risk. It's true! After 5 years, our country is still a potential target for terrorists. And this is in spite of our "tough on terrorism" Republican-led government.
We're fighting the terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq, so we don't have to fight them over here. The news today of the latest terrorist plot to blow up a plane bound for the United States in the air with liquid explosives is just the latest proof that the fight we're fighting is a valid one, and that we're catching the terrorists before they can harm us again.
Right.
Then how is it that 5 years after 9/11, our borders and our ports are still wide open? How is it that the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission still haven't been followed? Why was the investigation of 9/11 closed before all the questions were answered? Why are we not demanding that the war between Israel and Lebanon cease, and threatening to cut off all aid to both countries if they don't cease fire and open talks to find a solution?
There are too many unanswered questions here. It just doesn't make sense. If your house gets broken into and burglarized, and you discover it was done by a gang of thieves, you don't leave the back door unlocked while you go to their neighborhood to hunt them down. You don't ignore the fact that your security lights are burned out. Or that there are door keys unaccounted for. You take the steps you need to take at home FIRST to protect yourself, THEN you go after the crooks. Yet the United States Government hasn't done that. They're out looking for the crooks with the back door unlocked, security lights burned out, and door keys floating around in who knows whose possession.
It doesn't make sense, America. We aren't any safer today than we were on 9/10/01. And our government has spent a fortune overseas, all the while telling us we're safer. And terrorism seems to be growing around the world, not declining.
So how is it again that we're better off with the Republicans? 9/11 happened on their watch. 5 years later, they still haven't taken responsible actions here at home to protect us. And terrorism has grown on their watch, and by their actions.
And America's back door is still unlocked.

that is the question.
Border Patrol has for a long time observed OTM's (Other Than Mexicans) coming into our country. Bush has made it SO EASY for them.

8. I had a car bomb this morning |
|
I got in, turned the key, and it exploded. When I took it to the mechanic, he started it and blew up too. "Looks like a car bomb", he said.
Yeah, I stole that from Mark Leyner. Whatcha gonna do about it?
