My grandmother has been listening to right-wing talk radio!

This shows just how persuasive those crazy hosts can be. My grandmother likes news, so she started listening to the radio. I didn't know she had been listening to the right-wing stations, until she used the word "Islamofascist"! She's an FDR Democrat and is the reason I'm a Democrat, but she seems to be falling for the right-wing spin on terrorism. Luckily, there are three Air America stations in the area that I'm going to suggest she listen to, to get her deprogrammed/

1. Get that lady a satellite radio so that she can get some variety.

3. Buy her an XM Radio...

.. pre-pay it for a coupla of years, and activate it

.. call listener Care and have FAUX News and FAUX News Radio BLOCKED (won't even show up on the dial)

then give it to her with every button set to either AAR, XMPR, BBC (etc..)

Understandably there are better choices for listening to the news. I'm not sure calling radical, violent religious people "fascists" is so wrong. Certainly there are capitalist fascists, and they have more power than any of the rest. Shrug. I'm not sure I wouldn't call Osamma bin Laden an "islamofascist".....

I bet if you gave her other options of radio programs to listen to she would appreciate it.
