Imagine the outrage on the right and in the press if a major media figure spat out those words. Well, on Hardball, Chris Matthews just blurted out that Bin Laden sounds like Michael Moore. Simple: Matthews should apologize. On the air. This has NOTHING to do with Michael Moore and everything to do with how far media figures can go slamming the left. 11. Here's what really pisses me off about this sort of thing.

Michael Moore is villified by people like Matthews non-stop. They call him a kook, a huckster, a liar, etc., etc. They can't actually point out anything he's said that's not factual, of course- but he's considered fair game because he's outspoken.

But people like Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, etc.- people who actually *do* lie, demonstrably, repeatedly, and shamelessly- they're invited back as guests, or given their own shows. They're certainly "outspoken", but for some reason people like Chris Matthews don't feel the need to marginalize them.
