How many years do we have left?
Living in what many still think to be a "democracy".

How many years left do we have before global warming takes America's breadbasket and hands it to Canada?

How many years left do we have to pretend that we can go shopping for goods made in China during the holiday season even though our jobs pay next to nothing?

How many years will we listen to lies and fear that are designed to "teach" us how to react to the corporate clowns that now run the world?

How many years do we have left to see our children, and grandchildren opening presents on Christmas that aren't something they "really needed"? Gee, thanks Grandpa for this lump of coal.

How many years before heat in the dead of winter is unattainable for the many, not just the poor unfortunate poverty stricken and elderly?

How many can survive the privatisation corporatists for another generation?

I guess we'll find out.

2. If we do nothing about Global Warming we have 10 years.
Oh, you meant about our Democracy? There was a bloodless coup d'etat in 2000.

The sooner the better, as far as I'm concerned.

Let's get this show on the road. I'm tired of watching people shop and infotain themselves into a stupor while everything crashes down unheeded.

4. Is that before or after many americans lose the 'net?
By losing I mean either fairly unfettered, semi anonymous access to the web... Or I run out of money to pay for the power or cable connection... Or we lose the grid entirely.

The rest of the world will still be there, of course, but It might as well be on the moon from my point of view.

I have to stop reading and posting right before bedtime...:scared:

5. The rise and fall of America.
At what point does the frog who was placed in that nice pot of water as the heat was turned on realize that it has passed the point where it is a nice, warm soak and that he is schtupped?
