in the polls, B*sh gets a boost when topic shifts to 'war on terror' from war in Iraq.

3. Ever since he apologized for his little dust up with Scottie
he's nothing more than a pussy boy now, no guts, they reigned his ass in and shut him down. Only Timmy can ask the tough questions.

disillusionment. I'm clinging to the hope that John King is still unbiased, but I've read some DU'ers who dislike him, too.

Sigh........

5. I will be SO happy when we get a true leader who does NOT get a
"boost" from "terror plots," who isn't fucking HAPPY when people get blown up or threatened to be blown up, who doesn't calculate what murder and mayhem can do for HIM. These pigs (* cronies) are traitors and should be dealt with accordingly.

6. this is why....
We need to tie the 'war of terror' (I still refuse to believe this is a valid phrase) with the failed war in Iraq in every single breath. You saw Democrats yesterday doing this effectively.

A huge amount of resources, intelligence, manpower, etc are being pissed away in George Bush's pet war. Our eye is off the ball and if any of these threats succeed the failure will be squarely at Bush's feet - and the Republican rubber stamp congress and Vichy Dems like Lieberman.

It seems hard to believe Bush would get ANY bounce from this, since it's so easy to transition from this 'threat' to Iraq. The media won't do it but I'm sure the Democratic leadership will.

They didn't know shite about this plot until yesterday and they are going to get a boost? of course they fail to mention that part in the breathless coverage of "carnage on an unimaginable scale". Arsehole...

13. that is the WH line--but I'm not sure it will work this time, if he does
get a boost it will be temporary and it will not be impressive.

15. it probably will, since the MSM official line on this
will completely ignore the failure of Bush's "war on terrorism" and call this a success, completely forgetting to mention that out govt. had nothing to do with thwarting this attack.
