Judge Rules Ky. Gov. Can't Be Prosecuted
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Gov. Ernie Fletcher, under fire for a hiring scandal, is protected by executive immunity and cannot be prosecuted while in office, a judge ruled Friday.

Fletcher, Kentucky's first Republican governor in three decades, was indicted in May on charges alleging his administration rewarded political supporters with protected state jobs. He has accused the Democratic attorney general of conducting a politically motivated investigation in the case.

It's only a three paragraph story. Judge stayed the case, unless he's impeached.

1. Isn't that the guy
who pardoned the underlings who could have been tried and offer evidence against him?

In Kentucky the quality of mercy is not strained. And it seems to work best topdown.

2. So When Will The Appeal Be Filed?

Surely this "Special Judge" is not the last peg in the board.

On Edit: Spelling

4. Don't recall specifically, but Fitzie indicted after he was out
Wish I could remember the timeline of it all. I know Scott and his girlfriend were first. Scott made a deal and flipped to save his girlfriend, then Ryan's indictment came. And yes, this was after he was out of office, but the investigation for the license for bribes started while he was still there.
