the more that these same people will get madder and madder at the terrorists

and the madder that they get at the terrorists

the more they'll vote to "stay the course".

People like Karl Rove have made zillions of dollars by knowing how to make life so miserable for voters that it keeps him and his minions in business as long as the voters are as inconvenienced as they are scared.
