Michael Moore/DU/Daily Kos/MoveOn/Cindy Sheehan = Emmanuel Goldstein

Why is it that Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly devote endless amounts of time to left wing entities that are no where near a powerful as, say, the Heritage Foundation, PNAC, Cato Institute, or K-Street Project? Why is it that, during the Social Security bomboozle-palooza they ran ads attacking out of the power DEMOCRATS for not putting forward a plan? Why is it that they counter-prost OUR rallies? We haven't controled the White House since 2001. We haven't controlled the Senate since 1995 (2001-2003 didn't matter much since we gave Bush everything he wanted after 9/11.) We haven't controlled the House since 1995! Yet they attack US as if we still control Washington, as if THEY are out of power! Why is this? Because if their voters notice the shitty job they are doing with deficit spending, not using the FCC to cancel anything that offends their taste, and not putting every Muslim in a camp, then they won't vote for their bullshit campaigns. They NEED us, no matter how decrepit our party is, we are their source of two minutes hate! If I started a blog that gained decent traction on the internet and wrote a column comparing Bush to Saddam, Ann Coulter and Michelle Malkin would pick up on it. But why? I'm just some stranger they have never met? Because they NEED cannon fodder!

1. They need someone to blame
Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 09:58 PM by KingFlorez
They want power, but not responsibility. They want to make all the decisions, but blame liberals for the outcome and for problems they can't fix.

2. It's not enough for them for us to be out of power...they want us gone
permanently.

"It is not our job to seek peaceful coexistence with the Left," Abramoff was quoted as saying..."Our job is to remove them from power permanently".

They need us as the scapegoat, yes, as the cannon fodder; if not literally, then figuratively.

Without us to point at and yell about, they'd have to face their own base and own up to their responsibility. How else is it possible that after twelve years of controlling the legislative agenda, and over five years of having it all, WE somehow are still to blame for everything gone wrong in this country? Mirror, mirror, on the wall...
