Video: Brittish Muslims Dont Believe Terror Plot

This was a great clip - unfortunately I only was able to record the last half of it. Right before I hit record, the reporter said that most of the people he talked to in the Muslim community where many of the terror suspects lived do not believe the plot was real, but instead is a DIVERSION to take people's eyes off the middle east and other events around the world. I immediately hit record, and here is the rest of the report:

7. connection: London-native, muslim suicide bombers

The subway bombings were perpetrated by 4 young muslim Londoners, using home-lab explosives. 14 days later, there was a second set of 4 bombings, which failed in this instance, also perpetrated by 4 young muslim Londoners.

So, it happened on two different occasions already. Why would another attempt by people of similar backgrond be so hard to believe?

people don't want to hear bad things about those

in their community, let alone those they know

how many times, when a guy is arrested for (insert whatever heinous crime here) do we have the local news interviewing neighbors saying "i can't believe it. he was such a nice guy, etc. "

not to mention that terrorists in a cell are gonna be specifically concentrating on NOT drawing attention to themselves as potential terrorists, etc. they are gonna appear to be the "good neighbor" type of guy. by DESIGN

frankly, if they were outspoken community activists, street marchers, or some other such person that would draw attention to themselves, THAT would be less believable

the whole POINT of the cell tactic is that cell members are able to blend in seamlessly within a community and NOT appear in any way whatsoever as a potential criminal. then, when activated, they are that much more effective, cause they take people by surprise

This guy said one of the suspects he went to school with spoke of peace and practiced peaceful islamic traditions.

The point here is that there seems to be a very large contingency of people, both here and there, that think this is all BS right away. The distrust of government is at a very high level, and that is a very healthy thing for TRUE democracy.

do you think that a cell member waiting to be activated is going to go to schools and say "i think violence is the answer. we need to take down more planes"

these guys are relying on duping people in their community, taking advantage of people's general trust in their fellow man, and they apparently did an excellent job of this

i'll watch the video, but it's not like this is suprising that they think this

what would be surprising is if they said the opposite

there is a difference between having a healthy distrust of govt, and govt power and instantly assuming that everything reported by govt (let alone such cases like this that would be EXCEPTIONALLY difficult for govt. to fabricate) is fake

people need to get real

these people want to wipe us off the face of the earth. that's undeniable. they say so themself
