1. Soon it will pass the "9/11 number" |
|
And the Right will lose that talking point because more Americans will have been killed in Iraq than from 9/11.

the sad fact is that Americans don't give a petut about dead Iraqi civilians. It's only dead Americans that caused Americans to turn against this war. If the US killed 2 million Iraqis and only lost say 100 American troops do you think that the American people would oppose the war?

7. I sincerely believe that |

"conservative" Americans don't give one flying dog fuck about the deaths of our kids. Those in the military are volunteers, they'd probably get killed in car wrecks if not in the war and many who return from Iraq are faking their PTSD. If 100,000 american kids got killed in Iraq, (under the "leadership" of bush) "conservatives" wouldn't blink an eye.

why you seem to be salivating at the prospect of more deaths, just to prove your point?

But anyone who argues that the war should continue is saying that more Americans, and more Iraqis should get killed, even if that it not what they mean to argue. Fact is, that that is the practical reality of what will happen if the war continues. If the war continues, the death toll will soon pass 3000, and probably pass 4000 in another 1 or two. We were told that it was not going to be that way. Some people have a hard time dealing with that because the truth hurts.
I know of know place in my statement where I "salivated" at the prospect of anybody being killed. Those were words and feelings that you put into my mouth.
I opposed this war from Day One. Day One. I will not be held responsible for the fact that it was a miserable failure, for the fact that soldiers in Iraq were not greeted with flowers and chocolates, for the lack of WMD's, for the hundreds of billions in wasted tax dollars, for the fraudulent no-bid contracts to Halliburton and Bechtel and the collapse of public support for the war at home. Those things are not my fault, as much as you might want to make them my fault.

Those compassionate conservatives certainly wouldn't want to politicize the continuing slaughter of our kids because of a war we are in based on republican politics.

3. As a RW caller to Mike Malloy (I think) said: "2500 + change..." |
|
Do many see it that way ($ for them, cents (and worse) for others)?

what do they care? Repukes are by nature selfish, greedy, unfeeling lowlife who live by the motto, "I've got mine and I don't give a rat's ass about you." Statements like "25oo and change" sadly, prove the point.

One for politicians to shed crocodile tears in front of while waving the flag for the next little venture into colonialism.
