It makes sense that Bush and Blair timed this terra alert. |
|
After more evaluation this does appear timed. This affair does not concern a terrorist attack. No attack has happened. This affair involves stopping a terrorist group. The authorities in Britain stopped the terrorist group. They have most of the people in custody.
Bush and Blair most likely communicated on this in secret. Bush could have leaned on Blair to release this terra alert right after the well publicized Lamont-Lieberman primary contest.
Then Bush could then use this to once again accuse another party of weakness on terra right after the primary to link this terra issue with elections! However most smart people realize that the Republicans failed to defend America on 9-11-2001 where 2750 people lost their lives because the Republicans appeared weak on national defense and terrorism.

1. I don't recall Blair making any comment about this thing. Perhaps |
|
he is distancing himself from this turkey. Note that bush didn't even specifically mention the "plot" yesterday. It was all vague motherhood shit.

Wouldn't be surprised if Parliament isn't ready to throw a vote of NO CONFIDENCE Blair's way.
Think about this. How do you control a LARGE group of people who are not happy with your policies? FEAR!!!!
IMO, this is a complete exercise in CONTROL. Why can't someone bring a chapstick on a plane yet only 10% check-in across the country is scanned for bombing materials? That means all of these long lines and "security" checks really mean NOTHING, eh? Who cares if I have a lipstick tube with me if the belly of my plane is FULL OF EXPLOSIVES? Think about it.

4. Good point- a movement is afoot to recall Parliament over the Lebanon mess |
|
a horrific mess which is of Bliar's doing since Bush depends utterly on the support of Tory Bliar to appear as anything other than a unilateral despot and mass murderer.
Simultaneously, Bush's grip on this country is imperilled by a high profile primary in which his chief ally on the D side of the Senate is defeated by an antiwar candidate.
Suddenly it's unraveling for them. Suddenly a group of hapless amateurs who conveniently have a government provacteur in their midst are arrested on charges of plotting to suicide bomb multiple airliners.
