The priest left his Holy Water at home.
Edited on Fri Aug-11-06 04:23 PM by Beausoir
Saw it on WCCO from the Minneapolis airport.

The priest woke up, donned his clerical clothing and headed for the airport to catch a flight.

He said he decided to leave his Holy Water at home due to THE TERROR!

He was serious. He, like all the others interviewed, were glad to comply because they said "it makes us all safer".

So glad those pesky priests can't smuggle their weapons of destruction onboard.

Honestly, I have never seen anything as silly in my life than what this country has willingly submitted to over the past 2 days. Lipstick? Mascara? Weapons of TERROR?

1. This has been a test, only a test
in case of a real emergency you will be shot for your own protection.

3. I pretty much gave up on flying
after 9/11. Not because of fear, but my tolerance for the "stupid factor" is very low. Flown a few times when absolutely necessary, but I go by car most of the time.

6. So his leaving his holy water at home
makes him feel that we are all safer? If I fly out tomorrow and leave my lipstick, foundation, hand lotion and hair gel am I supposed to feel better because now we are all safer? What in the world is wrong with people like this??? :wtf:

9. Reminds me of an Anglican Bishop in the UK a few years ago.
They wouldn't let him take his Bishop's staff (crozier, I think it's called) on the plane. He raised an unholy (ba-bish) stink about it until they finally relented.

I can't count the number of times I've been hassled about my walking stick at airport security. They sometimes practically want to see me fall flat on my face before they believe I'm not using it just to look like a pimp.

13. I'm still pissed hearing that they wouldn't allow
soft contacts to remain in their 3 DROPS of solution within their case!..

I'm sure those folks traveling with expensive toric lenses appreciate how much "safer" we all are for their dried up, cracked, and worthless lenses.

14. I'm sure Cheney's grateful for this...
If he was on a plane with this priest and got holy water splashed on him, it would cause severe burns...
