The Republican party will go the way of the Spanish conservative party.
It did not take the Spanish very long to vote out their conservative government weeks after the 3-11 attacks because the conservative party could not defend Spain against terrorists.

The Spanish people appear alot smarter than the average American on this issue of terrorism.

However the American people have finally woken up and realized that the real terrorists appear the Republican party who want to use this war on error to destroy the new deal and enrich their oil company friends and the pharmaceutical companies and other industries.

Did you ever notice that Grover Norquist looks a bit like Hassan Nasrallah the sec general of Hezbollah?

Send Grover Norquist back to Norway where his ancestors came from!!

1. I hope so, but I really don't think they are going by the way side.
One thing is that the Spanish Conservative Party (or what ever its called) is not full of Christian fundamentalists...(conservative)christians, yes, but not fundamentalist as we have here with the religious right.

2. I have a question for you augie.
Why do union members strike and boycott their employers and make demands of their employers and not go back to work until the demands get met

but they will not form a huge buyers union and boycott and make demands of Republican contributing companies and not buy from them until we get the legislation we need through congress? Doesn't that appear logical to you?

3. Well maybe its because many consumers
are very selfish and not willing to do without - even if its to help the working class of this country.
One example is WalMart. Unions and their members have been boycotting ChinaMart for years and have asked the public not to shop there. Ever go by a Wal-Mart and see an empty parking lot?

Why we strike and with hold our labor? No union member likes strikes. It is the last resort.

A little fact you may not know: 95% of all Union - Company negotiations are resolved without a strike. Also, every major store you shop at contributes to the republican party without the stockholders consent.

4. I thought the outrage was more because of
the fact that Aznar immediately tried to blame the Basques, which turned out to be a blatant lie for political points, not because the Conservatives couldn't protect Spain from attack.
