Scare people over a "possible" new tactic....jam-pack airports as screeners scramble to come up with new screening plans on the fly..
THOUSANDS of people crammed into chaotic airports could be an "attractive" target.. Why blow up a few planes, when Pre-planed people by the thousands are all collected into one place, and are all obviously distracted by the chaos?
the second I saw those thousands of people elbow-to-elbow at Heathrow, I thought.."What if the AIRPORT itself is the target"? Who knew what any person in there was even carrying? Most of them had not yet cleared security..
If small restaurants and open air markets, or buses & subways can be targets, why not airports?

1. Good grief! Let's not give them any ideas - not that they need any help |

with new ways to murder and terrorize... :eyes:
Good point, though. Why go through the hassle of getting on a plane when it would be so much easier doing it on the ground.

2. I seriously doubt that I have come up with anything "new".. |
|
Screenwriters & authors have probably gone there long before I just did.. and hopefully our government has people who "plan" for just such an event...oh wait.. our folks are a bit behind in the learning curve..
I have a feeling that "the terraists" have "Plan X" already in the works.. we just aren't planning beyond the next invitation of American Idol contestants' visit to the White House..

6. It's occurred to me as well, along with some other "what if"s. |

I remember enough of my high school chemistry classes that I could name two liquids that could be combined to make a bomb similar to what I've seen described on the news as the one that was planned by this cell, but decided I won't post that info online. I don't want to give any wannabes or copycats any ideas for how to.
I'm also probably never going to fly again if I can help it, not so much due to the threat of terrorism as due to the inconvenience of having to submit to cavity searches prior to boarding naked, which is logically where this is going to lead.

throwing all those skeery liquids and gels in the same trash bin.
It's almost like they're mixing something in those giant green cauldrons of waste...
