First US blocks a cease fire, now...
they broker a worse deal for Israel.
Their neo-con ideology driven policy fails in Iraq, so they push Israel to try the same thing in Southern Lebanon.
Of course it's a disaster. Now the incompetent Rice, the rage-aholic Bolton and the Idiot-in-Chief have to run around to get any cease-fire they can. Now, Israel is in a much weaker position diplomatically than it was three weeks ago.
If they didn't do so much harm, they would be pathetic.

2. actually, I think you're overlooking that Israel put themselves in
a weak position. You can't always blame Bush and Condi for everything.

7. I wonder if the thought of
a very united Arab world, 22 countries IIRC, chomping at the bit to go to war with Israel had anything to do with this cease fire agreement? It would have been very bad for everyone. I'm really glad they reached an agreemnent though and I hope it holds up.
