1. RIP, Good Soul ...

The man who made the Beatles more than just a pop band ...

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain
Hey Jude refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool
Who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Da da da da da
Da da da da

Hey Jude don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

So let it out and let it in
Hey Jude begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you
Hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Da da da da da
Da da da da yeah

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
Better, better, better, better, better, oh

Da, da da da da da da
Da da da da, hey Jude
Da, da da da da da da
Da da da da, hey Jude
Da, da da da da da da
Da da da da, hey Jude

2. What a sad shame.
There was a movie in the 90's called "The Commitments" and they did "Mustang Sally" very well. A great tribute to Mr. Pickett. Rest in peace kind sir.

6. Oh my--Wilson and Lou so close together! What's going on?
Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 11:29 PM by samdogmom
We've lost some great ones in the past week--Wilson Pickett and Lou Rawls. I'm very sad. I'm pulling up my Wilson Pickett mp3 files as we speak--I don't have as much as I should considering his talent--but it's a start. I'm planning to buy more, I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. My condolences to the Pickett family. I'm very sorry.

On edit--just listened to "Land of 1,000 Dances" among his biggest hits--"Mustang Sally" and "In The Midnight Hour"--What a loss!
