My, how the rhetoric gets ratcheted up!
Republican pundits, desperate for their failing party to cling to power this fall, have stooped to new lows, with their dispicable, empty rhetoric, unable to point to any successes their party has brought about, and now they call democrats the new Taliban, call Ned Lamont the al-Qaeda candidate, say we democrats just don't get the war on terror, etc...

The public, in general are way ahead of the political curve this time. I don't see these tactics working anymore. Americans are suffering from a bad case of Bush Syndrome, (or B.S. as it is commonly referred to) and I think the average person just doesn't buy it anymore.

1. I think you're right for the most part
I regularly throw a Shrubby rant on another website I go to (music related) and used to be attacked by loyal Bushbots. Lately, the opposition has been half-hearted if any response at all. I'm getting a lot more people agreeing with me than not. Even my nemesis die-hard Bushlover hardly responds anymore except for a mumbled "Moonbat" with no lameass quasi-facts like he used to.

2. There will always be the small "die-hard splinter faction" that will
defend the indefensible to the bitter end, but these people are becoming irrelevent. People, such as my repub brother and sister-in-law are finally getting it.
