Torture is anything you would object to if it were done to an American |
|
When they get Yoo and Gonzales and all these guys testifying, they should just ask, so, you would not object if any of these same techniques were used on American soldiers or civilians if they were detained by a foreign government - is that correct?

5. But these guys don't care about Americans either. |
|
If they did, they would not have made a mockery of the Geneva Conventions in the first place.

No matter what is done to Americans, we are supposed to be the good guys. Our standards are supposed to be higher than your run of the mill thugs.

9. the UN chastised the USA for homosexual rape as institutional torture in |
|
our prisons.. i dont think your argument is totally valid.... they certify teenagers as adults and send them into adult prisons.. children that committed a crime during a part of their mental development where they frequently do not have the psychological capacity to have really planned it out as first degree. they are not just going to prison, they are going to ass-rape hell.
i worked as a juvenile parole officer.. and if you go to donate blood or blood products they ask you if you have been in jail longer than 12 hours... as part of the AID's and health screening.
i dont see anyone upset about homosexual rape in prison, it is big joke to many.. but dont let them get married..gOD will make the earth will quit spinning:hide: :yoiks:

prisons that are sickening. I LOATHE jokes about homosexual rape in these threads when someone that is universally disliked is being jailed. Many states are now outsourcing prisons to private companies, a roles that I just consider to be inherently under the purview of the government. Why haven't there been court cases about this abuse of prisoners? Where has the ACLU been on this topic?
The acceptance of torture whether it occurs in our domestic prisons or at Gitmo or at Abu Grahab is a degradation of our society as a whole.
